Film Che Film Analysis - 1274 Words

The film Che: Part I follows Ernesto Guevara is also known as Che. He was a Marxist, doctor, guerrilla leader, and a revolutionist. The film first introduced us to Ernesto as a doctor in Mexico as the first scene of the film. Then it begins with flashbacks of Che’s journey throughout the war. There were also scenes of Che that brings us back to the present time where he talking to the Americans about the war. It portrays him as an important character as he doing interviews and meeting different people in the United States of America. Che was a significant leader throughout the Cuban Revolution because of the successes and failures along the way, Che was able to overcome them and win the war. Che is introduced to us in Mexico city during†¦show more content†¦As well as we can see the soldiers coming to Che when some of his men abandon the group and he had to find them. Che’s character as a leader comes into effect when a peasant brings up a situation about Cheà ¢â‚¬â„¢s men going around and taking advantage of the peasants. Situations like this caused conflict between the peasants and the guerrilleros, eventually, a mutual mistrust form. Immediately he acknowledges the situation and promises to take care of it. As the film moves forward, there comes a scene with Che and Fidel once again talking about the revolution. He does not like that Fidel is negotiating with the Urban movement. Che believes his men are doing all the fighting while the alliance not. At this time Fidel promotes Che as a comandante. I believe that he does this to make Che feel that he is important to the cause. This change, however, also brings progress to the war as they are adding more columns and are expanding. As Comandante Che fills his promise to the peasant earlier, by ordering that his men leave the peasants alone. The peasants played a big role in the revolution as well. Without the peasants help during the Cuban Revolution this would have caused the war to have fail due to the basic fact that there would have not been enough people to help fight the war .
